Event Name: Outbound Activity: Visit to Juvenile Home
Objective:
The visit aimed to create a positive, interactive experience for the children residing at the juvenile home by conducting icebreaker activities that encouraged engagement, trust-building, and emotional expression. Our goal was to foster a sense of belonging and support, while also bringing smiles to their faces through fun, group-based exercises. These activities served as a stepping stone towards further sessions focused on personal development and mental well-being.
Outcome:
The visit was a highly rewarding experience, with both the boys and girls at the juvenile home responding enthusiastically to the icebreakers. The activities broke down barriers of shyness, created connections among the children, and opened them up to communicating with each other and the volunteers. The children participated with zeal, displaying joy and excitement throughout. We observed that the children felt more at ease and started expressing themselves freely as the activities progressed. Many expressed a desire for more such interactive sessions.
