About Library

The library at SCMS Hyderabad offers ample opportunities for the faculty, students, and research scholars to expand their intellectual horizons by providing them with multiple Digital and offline resources including books, e-books, periodicals, e-journals, databases, audio-visual materials, case studies, working papers, CD/DVDs, host of newspapers, magazines and well stocked with the latest books. The library has great infrastructure, very spacious with suitable furniture and reading room, it becomes an apt environment for students to learn and enrich their knowledge.

The campus library has adopted the online public access catalog (OPAC) platform to enable users to locate specific references and retrieve information with ease. A plethora of online databases are available at the central library such as ACM Digital Library, CMIE Prowess, Elsevier, EBSCO Publishing, IEEE Computer Society, JSTOR and ProQuest amongst others to help the users carry out their research activities and assignments in a hassle-free manner.

The library is accessed through Koha software which is the part of the automation of our library. This software allows users to locate relevant books and articles for reference using an interactive web interface.

Business Research Lab

The Business Research Lab at SCMS Hyderabad is dedicated to supporting both faculty and students in carrying out high quality research in all aspects of business decision-making including finance, marketing, human resource management, operations, amongst others. The lab enables faculty and students to address different societal challenges through the transfer and application of knowledge, and to foster industry-leading research that can help organizations make effective decisions.

The Business Research Lab provides an excellent platform for students to get exposed to the global business environment and also to carry out empirical research based on the concepts taught in the classrooms. The lab is equipped with Bloomberg terminals to provide the live financial data and provides access to entire suite of databases across the globe.

Amphitheater

The Amphitheatre at SCMS Hyderabad has the open-air venue and the space used for cultural activities like music, theatre in particular street plays, talks, poetry reading sessions, art, and photography competitions to showcase their talents.

Accommodation

The hostel blocks for SCMS Hyderabad have been designed keeping in mind the comfort and security of students. They are equipped with facilities such as elevators, back-up power, washing machines, water filters, solar powered water heating to provide 24-hour hot water facility for the students. Each hostel room has 24 X 7 internet access via Wi-Fi and LAN connections allowing students to connect to the campus internet and intranet services. The hostel room is equipped with study table, chair, Storage space and comfortable bed. It also has attached bathroom facility.

Auditorium

SCMS Hyderabad has a state-of-the-art auditorium with well-furnished seating. It is centrally air-conditioned and equipped with art lighting and acoustic systems, audio-visual aids such as microphones, audio/video recording, video playback, slide projector, cue light system, audio/video feeds to host multiple student events, guest lectures and seminars. The auditorium has hosted a number of events with prominent personalities of national and international repute. It provides an unrestricted and motivating environment for young minds as a prefect stage to showcase their talent via musical, cultural as well as academic events.

Classrooms

The classrooms at SCMS Hyderabad campus are fully furnished with the latest technology that provides the faculty with the best multimedia tools and modern audio-visual equipment for their instructional needs. They can accommodate the students comfortably with adequate seating capacity.

LMS

The student is provided with access to Learning Management System (LMS) to research assigned academic topics, submit their assignments online, prepare their class notes and avail certain learning resources that are available only on the internet.

Mess & Cafeteria

SCMS Hyderabad has a spacious cafeteria with hygiene environment, which provides quality and nutritious food to students, faculty and staff. The food provided to the students is prepared as per the menu designed by the Chef in consultation with the students and the mess committee. Since the campus is a host to students and staff from different Geographies and cultures, the menu is designed to suit the needs of these stakeholders. The canteen menu offers a wide variety of North Indian, South Indian, Chinese dishes, light snacks and soft drinks at affordable prices.

Healthcare

At SCMS Hyderabad prompt medical attention for both students and staff is a priority. The campus medical staff is fully committed to provide the best medical support. The students can consult the doctors on campus regarding any health-related matters. The healthcare center is equipped with the first-aid care equipment, and an ambulance to transport patients to nearby hospitals in case of need. Annual health checkup is provided to students and staff.

Recreation Facility

The SCMS Hyderabad campus hosts a variety of amenities for the students such as a highly equipped gymnasium to well-maintained spacious ground. Recreation sporting activities such as Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, football and Badminton are important to students for relieving stress. Participating in recreation activities and programs expands interest in staying fit and healthy. The campus and its surrounding areas are also well suited for jogging and walking.

Sporting events are carried out periodically by the sports committee to promote team spirit, athletic ability, collaboration, participation, and inclusivity among the participants. The Student Council organizes various sports activities & they also encourage students to participate in intercollege tournaments.

Computer Lab

The Computer Lab at the SCMS Hyderabad provides the IT and networking facilities to the students and faculty. Computer labs create inclusive, structured learning environments, where students can prepare for a tech-heavy future. All the computers in the lab are connected to the campus LAN/ Wi-Fi via optic fiber and have access to high-speed internet for all working hours. The computer lab is facilitated with desktops that are configured with the latest software so that online evaluation and other analytical classes can be carried out seamlessly.

Bank

SCMS Hyderabad campus offers banking facilities for the students and faculty through the Union Bank of India. Students can use the on-campus ATM for cash withdrawals. Bank provides personal loan for in-house employees and education loan to students. It also provides services to the nearby villages, fulfilling the objectives of financial inclusive society.
