Objective:

Brief Report

The ‘Background Blitz’ event began in the campus computer lab around 5PM, which swirled up into an evening filled with excitement and a spirit of friendly competition. There were six lively, dynamic teams getting ready for the competition, each with two very enthusiastic participants.

Team 1 was the first one to go, where one member observed the clip while the other waited outside to break the code. This tactic very much played into their hands, since they could not only smartly decipher the movie clip but also get 1.5 points with just a single hint. Teams 2 and 3 started to race against time, whereby neither team was able to solve the mystery within the 5-minute time frame.

In between all the suspense and excitement, Teams 4 and 5 shone in their victories by decrypting the clip and winning themselves a good 2 points each. Team 6 who were the last one to go eventually managed only 0.5 points for their brave attempt.

This nail-biting affair had Teams 1, 4, and 5 scrapping for their lives in this competition, with Team 1 evacuated from the battleground. The heat went up a notch higher, with Teams 4 and 5 going into a head-to-head tie breaker round, finally winning the round by minutes, and seconds, a close finish for Team 4, which Tanishq Gubbala and Rishik fiercely led. Team 5, which comprised Suradeepa and Lasya, celebrated their power move moment and were bestowed with the first runner-up holders.

The event ended with a heartfelt vote of gratitude from Guntaka Krithika Reddy, the club head, and a warm expression of gratitude from all members to all participants for their unwavering enthusiasm and passionate participation. The 'Background Blitz' came together due to the participants' humor and collaboration as well as their overall feeling of fun and togetherness, which made it unique.
