Summary

Event Name: Film Fusion

Objective:

The primary objectives of Film Fusion were:

  1. To conduct an engaging introductory activity.
  2. To assess the potential of new club members.
  3. To create a fun, interactive environment that encourages teamwork, communication and trust.

Outcomes:

The event successfully created an engaging and interactive experience for the participants.

  • It helped new members bond with senior students, fostering a sense of teamwork and collaboration.
  • The games encouraged quick thinking, creativity, and communication skills among students.
  • The participants thoroughly enjoyed the event, with many expressing interest in future activities by Manoranjan.

Brief:

The Drama Club, Manoranjan, successfully conducted its signature event, Film Fusion, on January 27, 2025. The event aimed to foster creativity, teamwork, and entertainment among students through engaging movie-related activities.

Event Structure The competition was divided into three rounds, each designed to challenge participants’ movie knowledge and communication skills:

  1. Round 1 & 2 – Pictionary:

    • A member from each team was assigned a movie-related word (movie title, actor, etc.).

    • The participant had to draw clues on a board while their teammates guessed the correct answer.

  2. Round 3 – Dumb Charades:

    • Participants were given a movie-related word and had to act it out without speaking.

    • Their team had to guess the correct answer within the allotted time.

Event Execution

  • A Google Form was circulated among students on January 25, 2024, to inform them about the event and invite participation.

  • Due to unavailability of the Lecture Theatre, the event was conducted in Room 007.

  • The session commenced with a brief introduction by the host, followed by a trial act to familiarize participants with the game rules.

  • A total of five teams participated in the event.

  • After the first two rounds, three teams advanced to Round 3, where their acting skills were tested in Dumb Charades.

  • Finally, two teams emerged victorious.

The winners of the competition were:

  • First Place: Shashank, Mihir, and Group 1 – Awarded ₹1,000.

  • Second Place: Teja, Lakshman, Rishi, and Group 2 – Awarded ₹500.

The winners were selected by Tanishq– Head of the club, who meticulously assessed each round against the above criteria. The judging process was fair and unbiased.

The event concluded on a high note, with the winners being announced and applauded for their exceptional work. The club thanks all participants for their contributions and looks forward to organizing more such creative and engaging activities in the future.
