Objective:

Through personal experiences and interactive activities, the session focused on helping students enhance their decision-making and problem-solving abilities while also emphasizing the importance of networking.

Summary: The HR Cell successfully conducted a guest lecture on Being Resourceful by Ms. Soumya Mohan, Deputy General Manager at Aragen Lifesciences Ltd. She shared her personal journey and provided key insights on self-development and standing out in professional spaces.
A highlight of the session was the Thinking Hats activity, where six students were called upon and given different coloured hats, each symbolizing a unique perspective:

  1. Red – Emotional Thinking
  2. Yellow – Positive Thinking
  3. Black – Negative Thinking
  4. Green – Creative Thinking
  5. White – Data-driven/Rational Thinking
  6. Blue – Process and Control

This engaging exercise emphasized the importance of considering all perspectives before making a decision.

Ms. Soumya Mohan also stressed the role of networking in career growth, encouraging students to build meaningful industry connections. The session provided them with a rare opportunity to interact with an industry leader, opening doors for potential mentorship and professional guidance.

Following the session, the floor was opened for a Q&A, where students actively participated, seeking guidance from the guest speaker. The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony by Dr. P. Ravi Kiran, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Sanjana Sreejit, Co-Head of the Cell.

The session was hosted by Vaidika Mondal and was highly interactive and enriching, leaving students with practical takeaways on becoming resourceful individuals in their professional and personal lives while also emphasizing the importance of networking.
