Event Name: Pottery Workshop

Objective:

  • Enjoyable process: The workshop encourages students to have fun while participating in the activity.
  • Skill development: It helps students improve and refine their pottery-making abilities.
  • Outcome:

    1. Students get to enjoy and learn different arts.
    2. It will improve their creative skills
    3. It will improve their design thinking level while working with pottery wheels.
    4. Leads to a mindful outcome as clay and pottery is proven to have a therapeutic process.

    BRIEF REPORT

    The members of Art Club – Kala conducted the “Pottery Workshop” to learn new creative artwork like pottery while having fun. The Head and co-head- Disha and Siri welcomed Mr. Jayaprakash and Mr. Shiva from Kalabindu Ceramic Studios. The students formed groups to work with terracotta. They guided the students step by step and explained different techniques for clay designing. After the demonstration, they simultaneously guided the students in making pots on a wheel. After a successful event, Dr Gajanethi Swathi Kumari handed mementoes to the guests.
