Event Name: Rally and awareness session about standing against gender violence

Objective:

1. Raise awareness among faculty and students about the prevalence and impact of gender-based violence, particularly against women.
2. Promote a culture of respect, empathy, and zero tolerance for gender-based violence within the campus community.
3. Empower students and faculty to recognize and respond to situations of gender-based violence.
4. Encourage reporting of incidents and seeking support from available resources.

Outcomes:

1. Increased understanding of the different forms of gender-based violence.
2. Strengthened commitment to creating a safe and inclusive campus environment.
3. Development of skills to identify and respond to situations of gender-based violence.
4. Increased awareness of available support services and resources for victims/survivors.

Brief:

This event aimed to raise awareness about gender-based violence and promote a culture of respect, empathy, and zero tolerance for such acts within our campus community.

Key Activities:

Awareness Session: A comprehensive session was held for the campus faculty and administrative staff dwelling into the various forms of gender-based violence, their impact, and available resources.

Rally: A powerful and peaceful march through the campus was conducted by the students symbolizing their collective stance against gender violence. A total number of 20 students participated in the rally carrying posters with strong messages of support and awareness accompanied by faculty Dr. P.Ravi Kiran.

The awareness session provided valuable insights into the complexities of gender-based violence, while the rally demonstrated the collective strength of the campus in addressing this issue.
