Red Rope

Summary

ACTIVITY : Red Rope

Objective:

The Objective of this activity is to help the students understand how the world perceives human trafficking and what is it that we can do to change it. It will give us a chance to put the knowledge we got throughout the SLM into use. It helps create awareness for the students of the school.

Brief Report:

The students representing Red Rope NGO paid a visit to Government High School, Farooqnagar, Shadnagar, to educate the students there about the serious issue of human trafficking. We started by explaining what human trafficking is all about, the different kinds of trafficking that exist, and how those who do wrong convince others to become victims. We also shared inspiring stories of people who managed to escape from human trafficking.

To make the message clearer, the students used pictures to tell a story. We depicted the tough journey of a girl who fell into the trap of human trafficking. Alongside this, we discussed the vital work done by Red Rope NGO and how it helps people who have been affected by trafficking.

The students demonstrated simple yet effective self-defence techniques that the kids could easily understand and use if they ever found themselves in a dangerous situation. The session wrapped up with an encouraging talk from Chrysolyte Sanamanda, the founder of Red Rope NGO, who urged everyone to stand up against human trafficking and make a difference in their communities.
