Brief Report: On October 3rd, Sahitya held its annual event titled, "Rewind and Resonate 2.0," a cherished tradition that encourages students to connect with their future selves through the art of letter writing. Although this event is typically held on September 26th every year, it was postponed due to changes in the timetable for second-year students. The event took place in the computer lab from 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM and began with a warm and inviting introduction by the host, Vaishnavi V, who set a positive tone for the activities that were to follow.
Following her introduction, the senior members of the club went down a nostalgic path as they read letters they had written to their future selves the previous year. The Club Head, Shreya Ghosh, took the initiative of coming onto the stage to address the audience and share her experience and accomplishments since the previous year. This segment resonated with the students inspiring them to think deeply about their own aspirations and future paths, and motivated them to be the ones to share their own journeys next year, encouraging other participants to follow suit.
Following this, pens and papers were distributed to all participants and club members, allowing them the opportunity to articulate their thoughts and feelings in their letters. Participants were given ample time to reflect and write, creating an atmosphere filled with creativity, introspection and anticipation, as students poured their hopes, dreams, and reflections onto the pages, crafting heartfelt messages to their future selves.
Once the letters were completed, participants proceeded to collect their envelopes, where their names were beautifully calligraphed by Sreenidhi and Prisha, adding a personal touch to each letter. A delightful surprise awaited them as words of affirmation, chosen by the students themselves, were placed alongside their letters, designed to provide them with something to look forward to when they open their letters next year, fostering a sense of encouragement and positivity.
The event concluded with a club photo, marking the successful culmination of "Rewind and Resonate 2.0." This event provided a meaningful platform for self-reflection, making it a memorable occasion for all involved, as both club members and participants eagerly await the moment when they will open their letters next year.
