BRIEF REPORT:
Marketing club and International cell of SCMS, Hyderabad organized guest lecture by Dr. Prakash Vel, Associate Professor, Australian University in Dubai. The lecture started off with the host, Sejal Tedla, who welcomed Dr. K. Prakash Vel and all the participants. The guest was then felicitated by Dr. Ishaq Ahmad leaving the stage for Dr. Vel to speak.
Dr. Prakash Vel is an Associate Professor at the Australian University in Dubai and specializes in Marketing and related areas. His extensive research experience includes multiple recognitions, such as nominations for the Research Excellence Award, teaching excellence acknowledgments, contributions to marketing literature, and leadership in organizing international academic conferences, highlighting a well-rounded and impactful academic career.
Dr. Vel enlightened us with valuable insights about strategic marketing and customer intelligence and encouraged the students to broaden their knowledge about the subject.
He shared teachings on Strategic marketing - customer intelligence as the driver of marketing success. He discussed significance of communication in building customer relationships, adaptability, pillars of marketing intelligence, blue ocean thinking, virtual ecosystem, and AI. He also spoke about the topic “Content as the king” which was very helpful and engaging for the students.
Overall, the lecture provided valuable insights into strategic marketing principles, customer intelligence, communication strategies, emerging trends, and technologies in the marketing landscape.
