Event Name: Symbifit 9.0

OBJECTIVE:

Encouraging individuals to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle through fitness programs, classes, and resources.

Participating in a fitness event can be a way to work towards specific fitness goals, such as improving endurance, strength, or speed.

For competitive athletes, participating in fitness events offers the opportunity to test their skills and compete against the best in a supportive and structured environment.
OUTCOME:

To interact and learn from the other teams and individuals participating in this event,
in terms of skills, and fitness.

It helped us to learn and gel how to work as a team.

It helped to showcase our talent and strength on a big stage.
- It also inspired to stay fit, maintain a proper physique, and be involved in all the athletic activities.
BRIEF REPORT:
SYMBIFIT 9.0 is an event which is conducted by the Department of Sports, Recreation & Wellness Centre(DSRW),
SIU Pune for all the students who are part of SIU. In this event, there are 2 rounds of fitness, the first round is
conducted in the student's particular campus itself and students who are selected in the first round participate in the
final round which is conducted in Lavale Hilltop, SIU Pune.
Moreover, SYMBIFIT 9.0 was organized in two categories Individual and Team. Mostly the activities were similar
in both categories but there was some difference in team and individual events. Paboni.S. Kalita, a student in the
BBA II semester, and Sangramjeet Das, a student of the BBA IV semester participated and represented SCMS Hyderabad
in the individual event. Abhijit Goud a student in the BBA IV semester, Somya Gupta, a student in the BBA II semester,
and Anmol Rawat, a student in the BBA II semester,had participated and represented SCMS Hyderabad in the team category.
The challenges in the individual category included:
- Dead Hang on the rope till fatigue.
- Weighted sack on each hand and walk on blocks till Fatigue
Boys: 20 kgs each hand, Girls: 15 kgs each hand.
- Jumping through 3 walls with Tyre passing through each wall to & fro, wall height 3 feet, 4 feet, and 5 feet.
- Drag weight 40 meters to & fro, Boys: 70 kgs, Girls: 35 kgs
- Sack hold at 20 feet height in vertical direction till fatigue, Boys: 40 kgs, Girls: 30 kgs.
The challenges in the team category included:

Boys: 20 kgs each hand, Girls: 15 kgs each hand.
- Jumping through 3 walls with Tyre passing through each wall to & fro, wall height 3 feet, 4 feet, and 5 feet.
- Lifting the bar and going to & fro 40 meters, all the team members should lift the bar. Bar weight: 120 kgs.
- Sack hold at 20 feet height in vertical direction till fatigue, Boys: 40 kgs, Girls: 30 kgs.
For individual participants, there were 4 participants in a round and the total number of participants was Boys: 104, & Girls: 50
Except for challenges 3 and 4, all other challenges were till Fatigue so participants had to give their best in all challenges.
Paboni & Sangram gave their best in the individual category but they were unable to make it to the top position because of
the tough competition over there.
In the team category, there were a total of 16 teams, with SCMS team lead by Abhijit Goud. Our team i.e. Abhijit, Somya
& Anmol made it to the runner-up position in the team category by competing with others and giving their best in each challenge.
It was a very proud moment for our team to accomplish in runner-up position because, for the past 8 years, no one was able to achieve
this feat. Our team got the rewards/prizes for securing the runner-up position in team category.

Leading up to the competition, rigorous training and preparation were essential to achieving
success. Hours were spent in the gym, fine-tuning strength, endurance, and agility.
Last but not least, we would like to thank our coaches Sir Subrata Debnath and Sir Ravinder
Babulal for trusting our abilities and instilling in us the belief to compete at the university level.
We would also like to thank our Director Dr. K.P. Venugopal Rao (Director SCMS H), and
Mr. Ramakrishna (AO SCMS H)for believing in us and for making all the arrangements
possible.
