Summary

Event Name: The Investiture Ceremony 2024

Objective:

To officially recognize the President, Vice-President, and respective Heads and Co-Heads of SCMS Clubs and Committees.

Outcomes:

The Ceremony celebrated the Student Council members and their dedication to run SCMS Clubs & Committees.
Every member of the Student Council received badges of their respective position, solidifying their role as leaders in the institute.

Brief:

The event commenced with the opening speech from the host of the day, Ms. Anugna from the batch 2023-27. She welcomed the audience and impressed upon everyone present about the importance and meaning of an Investiture Ceremony. Next, she handed over the stage to Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies’ esteemed Director, Dr. K. P. Venugopala Rao.

Sir began his speech by congratulating the Student Council members for the occasion, and continued to share valuable insights and pearls of wisdom, which can be applied by keen listeners not just in university or corporate life, but in our personal lives as well. Sir continued to emphasize the importance of the Investiture Ceremony, and to see it continue annually for those well-equipped and capable of using their title and authority to oversee the well-being and the affairs of the students in the campus, and thus helping make the place a safe haven for all.

Once the speech concluded, Anugna called upon our esteemed faculty members to hand over the badges, one by one, to the council members.

The first faculty and management member were none other than Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies Deputy Director, Dr. Disha Pathak, who congratulated and then handed over the badge to our institute’s first President and Vice-President, Disha Singh and Snehlata Kumari, respectively. This was followed by the Heads & Co-Heads receiving their badges: (Sahitya) Shreya Ghosh, Almas Uddin Mallick, (Ikshana) Anjali Bhatia, Isha Kameshwari, (Nirvana) Anantha Keerthy, and Joona Uruvechaduth.

Next, Dr. Syed Masroor Hassan was called onto the stage, and he awarded the badges to the following Heads & Co-Heads: (Hunar) Aditi Pandey, Raya Banerjee, (Athlos) Rohan Singh Mertia, Rohan Malyala, (Kala) Disha Singh, and Siri Balaji.

Then, Dr. Ishaq Ahmed Dar graced the stage and handed over the badges to the following Heads and Co-Heads: (Prachar) Krithika Reddy, Advika A, (Capture) K Saathwika, Harshita Mishra, (Manoranjan) Tanishq Gubbala, and Sri Maurya.

Thereafter, Dr. P. Ravi Kiran adorned the stage and gave the badges to the Heads and Co-Heads of the following clubs: (Finance Club) Snehlata Kumari, Prishita Sahu, (HR Club) Anantha Keerthy, Sanjana Sreejit, (Marketing Club) Sejal Tedla, Shreyashka Sengar, (International Cell) Pranava Chandanam, and Anjali Bhatia.

Next, Dr. M. Rajanikanth came onto the stage to hand over the badges to the Heads & Co-Heads of: (Entrepreneurship Cell) Allen Joshua Rajiv, Pranava Chandanam, (Corporate Relations Cell) Sumedha M, Anshika Rana, (Disciplinary Club) Amulya, and Sai Suhitha. To immortalize the day, the members of Capture, The Photography Club of SCMS, who had been working diligently throughout, took a picture of all the present Student Council Members and the faculty. Thus, the Investiture Ceremony ended on a high note.
