The "Andaz Apna Apna 2.0 - Bhasha Blend" competition, organized by Club Hunar of SCMS-H, was a resounding success that celebrated the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of the world through the art of dance. Held on 17th September 2025 at the campus auditorium, the event brought together students from four institutes: SCMS, SIBM, SLS, and SIT. The unique theme of "Bhasha Blend" challenged participants to integrate songs and dialogues from a minimum of two different languages into a single performance, promoting creativity, inclusivity, and cultural pride. The performances showcased a rich array of dance styles, including classical, semi-classical, Bollywood, fusion, and various Western styles.

2. Objectives & Outcomes

The event aimed to celebrate languages through dance, promote creativity, foster inclusivity, enhance campus engagement, and build students' confidence and skills. The outcomes were a testament to the event's success:

• Celebration of Diversity: Students explored and represented India's linguistic diversity through innovative fusions of music and choreography, giving equal importance to regional and international languages.
• Strengthened Community: The event created a vibrant and interactive evening, strengthening the sense of community and belonging among students, faculty, and staff from across the institutions.
• Skill Enhancement: Participants were able to improve essential life skills such as teamwork, synchronization, stage presence, and creative problem-solving.
• Unique Entertainment: The audience was treated to a unique entertainment experience, being exposed to a multitude of languages and cultures in a single, cohesive event.

3. Event Flow

The evening commenced with a series of dynamic solo performances, each a unique blend of different languages and dance styles. This was followed by a captivating opening performance by Club Hunar, setting a high standard for the night. Next, a variety of energetic group performances took place. Following the performances, Sanjana Sreejit, Head of Club Hunar, delivered a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees. The event continued with the felicitation of the guests, and concluded with the announcement of the winners and the distribution of trophies and e-certificates to all participants.

4. Judging Panel

The difficult task of evaluating the talent was entrusted to two distinguished judges, Ms. Nicy Joseph and Ms. Subbulakshmi. Their expertise provided a balanced perspective, with Ms. Joseph specializing in Western dance and Ms. Subbulakshmi in classical dance. Ms. Joseph is a renowned choreographer with a strong background in contemporary and hip-hop dance styles, known for her sharp and innovative routines. Ms. Subbulakshmi is a highly respected classical dancer and a master of traditional Indian dance forms, celebrated for her grace and perfection in execution. Together, they ensured that every aspect of the performances, from technical skill to creative expression, was judged fairly.

5. Competition Guidelines

• Theme: "Bhasha Blend" - a minimum of two languages (regional or international) had to be integrated into each performance.
• Time Limits: Solo acts were limited to a maximum of 3 minutes, while duo/group performances had a maximum limit of 5 minutes.
• Disqualification: Strict rules were in place regarding time limits, revealing institute names, and the use of vulgar, inappropriate, or discriminatory content.
