Event Name: DISCUSSION ON INTERIM UNION BUDGET

OBJECTIVE:

• To enhance student’s understanding of the Interim Union Budget’s implications and foster critical thinking on fiscal policies.
• To hone the presentation abilities of the students.

OUTCOME:

• Students gained a comprehensive understanding of the various fiscal policies proposed in the interim union budget 2024-25.
• The activity encouraged students to engage in critical thinking and analysis of budgetary provisions.

BRIEF REPORT:

The Interim Budget, presented by India’s Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman on February 1, 2024, brought to the forefront key discussions regarding the upcoming financial trajectory of our country.

The finance club organized an exceptional 'Discussion on the Interim Union Budget 2024-25’ under the guidance of Dr. Disha Pathak. Discussion took place by dividing students into teams and tasked them with researching and presenting specific topics from the interim union budget. Each team exhibited remarkable dedication and preparation throughout the event, delivering comprehensive presentations on their allotted topics. These presentations covered various aspects of the Interim Union Budget, including budget allocations, revenue sources, expenditure pattern and performance of Indian economy. Even budget discussion also includes discussion on various initiatives like Garib Kalyan, Nari Shakti, Resilient Performance of the Indian Economy, , Empowering the Youth, Desh ka Kalyan, Welfare of Farmers-Annadata and many more.

Following the presentations, a lively discussion took place, allowing students to delve deeper into the details of the budget. This collaborative learning environment facilitated a deeper understanding of the interim budget and fostered the student's critical thinking and analytical skills.
