BRIEF REPORT:
The event took place on March 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM in Room 007, bringing together Sahitya Club (Literature Club) and Nirvana Club (Music Club) for a unique creative challenge. Designed to merge the worlds of literature and music, the event required participants from Sahitya Club to write an on-the-spot poem, short story, or write-up, while members of Nirvana Club had to compose and perform it in a specific tone or genre. The catch? Both clubs had to randomly pick chits that dictated the theme for the writers and the performance style for the musicians.

The event began with participants drawing chits to determine their creative constraints. Some of the exciting and challenging chits drawn by Sahitya Club included “science fiction horror,” “rhyme scheme-based poetry,” and “nonsense yaps” (a humorous, absurd writing style). Meanwhile, Nirvana Club members had to adapt their performances based on chits such as “sing in a baby voice,” “laughing tone,” “opera-style rendition,” and even “robotic monotone.” These unexpected combinations led to an engaging and often hilarious fusion of literature and music. One standout performance featured a science fiction horror story narrated in a dramatic opera style, while another had a nonsense yap poem sung in a laughing baby voice, keeping both the participants and the audience entertained throughout the event.

After several captivating performances, the winners were announced. Sreenidhi from Nirvana Club (First Year) won for her exceptional voice and the way she brought out her opera singing skills, seamlessly adapting to the unique challenge. Meanwhile, Vaishnavi from Sahitya Club (First Year) impressed everyone with her DC-themed piece, crafting a long and incredible poem on Joker and Batman, which captivated the audience. As a reward for their creativity and performance, both winners received ₹250 bakery coupons as prize money.

The event concluded on a high note, with participants appreciating the synergy between storytelling and music, making it a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved.
