Event Name: Teachers’ Day celebration-2025

Objectives:

1. To display appreciation by presenting awards to teaching staff for their guidance to students in academics and research endeavours.
2. To display appreciation to the administrative staff and non-teaching staff for their endless contributions to managing the day-to-day aspects of the campus and student affairs.
3. Providing a light-hearted atmosphere to faculty members from usual routines in terms of multifarious cultural performances.

Outcomes:

1. Teaching staff and administrative staff felt welcomed and gratified by the gesture of gratefulness displayed by the students.
2. Students were brought to light and awareness regarding the immense and commendable contributions by the teaching and administrative staff in their respective domains.
3. Students got an opportunity to exhibit their talents, boosting their confidence.
4. The event fostered a spirit of unity, teamwork, and enthusiasm, setting a positive tone for the academic year.

Brief Report:

The event was conducted at the seminar hall at 3:30 pm, where students from institutes of SCMS and SIBM, as well as teaching staff and non-teaching staff, were gathered, for the event where V.L Sharanya and Vaishnavi Vidiyala from SCMS-H were the hosts for the day.

The program began with a melodious performance by Team Nirvana, the music club of SCMS-H, with a song dedicated to displaying their gratitude for the faculty members in their domains followed by a humorous musical from Team Abhinay, the drama vertical of the cultural club, Antardhwani of SIBM-H, regarding the day-to-day interactions between students and teachers.

The venerated and honorable Dr. K. P Venugopala Rao graced the event with his dignified presence and divulged his pearls of insight and wisdom with students, teachers and administrative staff gathered followed by the prize distribution ceremony where awards were bestowed upon faculty members and non-teaching staff, recognizing their dedication to making differences in the lives of students in the categories of administrative, teaching and research.

Team Vibe, the dance vertical of Antardhwani from SIBM-H, graced the stage at the end with a mesmerizing dance performance, followed by the vote of thanks from the president of the student council, Mr. Rhishi Nair from SIBM-H. The event concluded with a thank-you note from the anchors, Sharanya and Vaishnavi.

CONCLUSION

The program fulfilled its objectives of giving students a platform to display their gratitude and appreciation to the teaching and non-teaching staff, recognizing their contributions and aimed to boost the overall relationship between teachers and students.
